FACO member, Coalitions and Collaboratives, Inc, is hosting the first national post-wildfire workshop and conference. The conference, After the Flames, will be held in Denver, Colorado April 1 – 3, 2019.
Experts warn that year-round fire season is the new normal. Wildfire is no longer “if” it will occur, but rather “when.”
Wildfires burned 9,781,062 acres in the United States in 2017. The impacts of a wildfire last long after the flames are extinguished.
Community leaders, agency representatives, property owners, and anyone impacted by wildfire is invited to join this interactive workshop and conference featuring recovery experts and agencies engaging After The Flames.
COCO is looking for participants and sponsors that are interested in sharing lessons and learning together as we face a future that will see more wildfire. If you live in an area that is at high risk, have had a fire and learned the “hard” lessons, are a local official, emergency responder or manager, mitigation professional, business owner or anyone else that is concerned about fire in your community please consider attending.
