Patrick Kieran was born and raised in beautiful Vermont. He attended Unity College, in Unity, Maine and
received a B.S. in Park Management. After working multiple years in park management with the
National Park Service and U.S. Army Corps. of Engineers, he made a switch to fire. The last 22 years he
has been in fire management with the National Park Service in Massachusetts and Mississippi and the
Bureau of Land Management in Colorado. In 2006 he joined Unaweep Wildland Fire Module and has
been engaged with fuels and fire management with BLM Colorado Fire and Aviation since. He has two
teenage sons, Liam 15, and Owen 19. When not working, Patrick is enjoying our public lands mountain
biking, fishing, and skiing. Some of his New England roots run deep, such as his love for the Boston Red
Sox and New England Patriots. He looks forward to helping with fire management within Colorado and
beyond while maintaining and strengthening partnerships.
