Our mission is to collaboratively protect & prepare the San Luis Valley communities and ecosystems from the impact of destructive wildfire events.
SLVWC provides a regional platform that connects practitioners, community, resource and infrastructure managers and public officials to develop a collaborative approach to advocate for, fund and implement wildfire resiliency.
Key services:
- Bi-monthly meetings (rotating to each of the 6 counties in the San Luis Valley)
- Joint fuels projects coordination & development
- Assist with plan updates such as Hazard Mitigation Plans, CWPPs and PODs
- Project priority mapping
