The Colorado Wildland Fire Conference is currently held every 18 months.
Our 2024 conference was held in Snowmass Village, Colorado in October 2024; Our 2026 conference will be held in the spring of 2026, most likely in a Front Range location. Planning will begin in earnest in early 2025! If your organization is interested in supporting a planning team role, reach out to Rebecca Samulski for more information.
This conference is geared toward professionals working proactively to improve wildfire outcomes in Colorado communities and landscapes such as Mitigation Specialists, Emergency Managers, Firefighters, Researchers, Foresters, Developers and Policy Makers. Anyone wishing to learn more about how they can reduce their community’s vulnerability to wildfire is welcome to attend.

The theme of the 2024 conference was Meeting the Moment.
In an era where wildfires are both more frequent and intense, the 2024 Colorado Wildland Fire Conference was focused on meeting the challenges of our time, with the implementation of robust strategies to help our communities to adapt and live with wildfire.
2024 Registration included a variety of presentations incorporating the “Meeting the Moment” theme. The rich content also included optional networking events, exhibit/sponsor hubs, and a panel discussion with members of the Wildfire Resilience Code Board, on the implementation of minimum codes and standards in Colorado, following the passage of Senate Bill 23-166.
- Registration from May 1 – August 31 is $595.00
- Late Registration rates begin September 1, 2024.
- A Conference lodging block at the Viewline Resort is being held at $195.00/night.
- Active FACO network participants will receive a discount code.
